Epistemology of record and the organization of knowledge in the context of health: the case of the patient?s record

[Resumo] Apresentam-se os resultados de uma pesquisa cujo objeto de estudo é a epistemologia do registro do paciente, privilegiando os aspectos da organização do conhecimento registrado nesses documentos, com apoio nos elementos linguísticos. Partiu-se desta indagação: que aspectos da linguística textual podem contribuir para a construção de mapas conceituais de representação indexal de prontuários do paciente, visando a uma recuperação de informação com qualidade? O objetivo é mapear os sintagmas, a fim de elaborar um mapa conceitual referente às informações contidas nos prontuários. Identificaram-se cerca de 1000 sintagmas e construiu-se um mapa conceptual no software CmapTools, conforme os elementos da lingüística textual: coesão e coerência. No primeiro caso, foram mapeados os sintagmas concernentes à referência endofórica (anáfora, substituição, elisão conjunção, coesão lexical). Relativamente à coerência identificou-se o domínio lingüístico, pragmático e extralingüístico. Concluiu-se que a lingüística textual tem grande contribuição no tratamento informacional dos registros do paciente, pois oferece ?pistas? para a recuperação de informação com maior qualidade nos Serviços de Arquivos Médicos e Estatísticos (SAMEs).[Abstract] In this paper, we present the results of an investigation in which the object of study is the epistemology of treatment and the patient?s record, containing aspects of the organization of recorded knowledge in these documents, supporting us in the linguistic elements. We attempted to answer the following question: What aspects of linguistic text that can contribute to the index representation of a patient's records in order to recover quality information? The goal is to map the phrases in order to build a conceptual map for the information contained in the records. It was identified more than 1000 phrases and it was built a concept map in the software CmapTools, according to the elements of textual linguistics, cohesion and coherence. In the first case, we mapped the phrases pertaining to endophoric references (anaphora, substitution, elision, conjunction, lexical cohesion). In relation to coherence it was identified the linguistic, pragmatic, and extra-linguistic domain. We conclude that the textual linguistics has great contribution in the informational treatment of patient records, therefore, offers "tracks" for information retrieval with more quality in the Medical Records and Statistics Services

Una visión general sobre las imágenes del área de la salud: una propuesta de construcción de una ontología

The images of the field of health are of great importance to confirm or deny the existence of a disease, allowing a greater accuracy in diagnostic investigations and treatment of diseases. They are rich sources of information and therefore require treatment of information. In this context, this article is part and presents the results of a research whose objective is to design and build an image domain ontology from nephrology aiming indexal representation and retrieval of imagery in the electronic environment. The corpus of the study was the electronic patient record. The ontology of the verbal text was built in Protégé-software-Stanford University and imported into the software Active Media Software - Ontology-based Annotation system Sheffield University, to build the ontology of the image. The results show that it is possible to build ontologies from texts verbal and nonverbal, with the union of these two softwares

Proposta de aplicabilidade da preservação digital ao prontuário eletrônico do paciente

We present the preliminary results of a research on digital preservation and curation, as well as the possibility of applicability to the context of health documentation, as a memory of health. The research was based on the following question: How can the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) standard be applied to patients' electronic records, with a view to preserving digital contents, to ensure confidentiality, reliability, authenticity and access to who rightly owns the information recorded in these documents? The basic objective is to study the literature regarding preservation and digital curation, with emphasis on the OAIS standard, considering the possibility of its application for the development of a Digital Repository of Electronic Patient Records, observing the legal order concerning this type of document. Exploratory research based on the state of the art survey on the topic under discussion. The corpus of the study consisted of 01 (one) medical record (five volumes) of the specialty of nephrology, focusing on the year of 1970. The empirical study was in the Medical and Statistical Archive Service, Walter Cantídio University Hospital of the Federal University of Ceará. The findings show that, although there are already several initiatives on the digital preservation of scientific technological and cultural documentation, we did not find experiences on medical records. Furthermore, the OAIS model can be applied to the context of the patient's electronic medical records, provided the particular characteristics of legality of access to these documents are observed, as well as the requirements and/or guidelines for implementing a Digital Repository for Electronic Patient Records

Digital information technologies for health: reviewing metadata standards focusing on interoperability

This article aims to present the mapping of the metadata standards as well as their applications aiming the interoperability in information systems for the health area. An exploratory-descriptive research with a qualitative approach and a literature review was carried out in search of current publications that approach the theme of national and international standards of interoperability in the field of health. These searches were based on the provisions of Portaria nº 2.073, de 31 de agosto de 2011, passed by Ministry of Health, Brazil, which regulates the use of interoperability standards for health information systems in the Brazilian context. The results show that standardization and interoperability in information systems, whether related to libraries or health organizations, are extremely important because they allow the exchange and sharing of information inside and outside organizations, as well as streamlining flows and informative processes

Discute a competência em informação na escola, tendo como questão norteadora: Quais as ações realizadas no âmbito da biblioteca escolar podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento de competência em informação de seus usuários? Como objetivo geral busca identificar as ações realizadas no âmbito da biblioteca escolar que podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento de competências em informação dos docentes, estudantes e funcionários que constituem a comunidade escolar. Apresenta uma breve contextualização sobre a competência em informação. Aponta o bibliotecário como profissional indicado para desenvolver ações de capacitação de usuários, visando a aquisição de competências em informação. Utiliza como método a revisão sistemática de literatura a fim de responder a questão norteadora. Aplica a pesquisa bibliográfica para a busca das fontes de informação que constituirão o artigo. Traça discussão a respeito da temática a partir dos artigos recuperados na base de dados em Ciência da Informação do Portal de Periódico Capes. Conclui que os bibliotecários e professores que realizam ações visando desenvolver competências em informação na escola devem compreender a cultura escolar. A infraestrutura, formação de acervo, mediação de leitura, presença de bibliotecário, debates, capacitação de usuários para o uso de ferramentas tecnológicas são ações que potencializam a autonomia de usuários da biblioteca escolar
